The Heart

"Tomorrow morning," the surgeon began,"I'll open up your heart...""You'll find Jesus there," the boy interrupted.the surgeon looked up, annoyed "I'll cut your heart open," he continued,to see how much damage has been done..." "but when you open up my heart, you'll find Jesus in there," said the boy. The surgeon looked to the parents, who Sat quietly. "When I see how much damage has been done, I'll sew your heart and chest back up, and I'll plan what to do next." "But you'll find Jesus in my heart. The Bible says He lives there. The hymns all say He lives there. You'll find Him in my heart." The surgeon had had enough. "I'll tell you what I'll find in your heart.I'll find damaged muscle, low blood supply, and weakened vessels. And I'll find out if I can make you well.""You'll find Jesus there too. He lives there." The surgeon left. The surgeon sat in his office, recording his notes from the surgery,"...damaged aorta, damaged pulmonary vein, widespread muscle degeneration. No hope for transplant, no hope for cure. Therapy: painkillers and bed rest. Prognosis: here he paused, "death within one year." He stopped the recorder, but there was more to be said. "Why?" he asked aloud."Why did You do this? You've put him here; You've put him in this pain; and You've cursed him to an early death. Why?" The Lord answered and said, "The boy, my lamb, was not meant for your flock for long, for he is a part of My flock, and will forever be. Here, in My flock, he will feel no pain, and will be comforted as you cannot imagine. His parents will one day join him here, and they will know peace, and My flock will continue to grow.."
The surgeon's tears were hot, but his anger was hotter. "You created that boy, and You created that heart. He'll be dead in months. Why?" The Lord answered, "The boy, My lamb, shall return to My flock, for He has done his duty: I did not put My lamb with your flock to lose him, but to retrieve another lost lamb." The surgeon wept... The surgeon sat beside the boy's bed; the boy's parents sat across from him. The boy awoke and whispered, "Did you cut open my heart?" "Yes," said the surgeon. "What did you find?" asked the boy. "I found Jesus there," said the surgeon.

Believing God

The women at Fellowship Church are starting the "Believing in God" Bible Study from Beth Moore. I'm wearing a blue cord to remind me to believe in God that He will be here for me and get me through anything and everything. I have specific things I'm going through right now...and I'm believing that God will make things happen in His perfect will. The below message is from a blog site journeying forward that talks about the significance of the bracelet, but mostly just believing God! Enjoy!

Beth Moore has reminded me that God will never leave us, nor forsake us (Hebrews 13:5), that God's children cannot flee from His presence or loose ourselves from His hand (Psalm 139:7), that God is always at work and that Christ is ever working with Him (John 5:17), that God's work in our lives is good and under constant construction until its completion (Philippians 1:6) and that if we will seek and obey God, He will actually disclose Himself and some of His activity to us (John 14:21). Let this bracelet serve as a little reminder that no matter where my mind is, no matter what I'm struggling with - I should believe God... period. --http://journeyingforward.blogspot.com/2008/02/believing-god-bible-study-little.html

Numbers 15:38-39 Throughout the generations to come you are to make tassels on the corners of your garments with a blue cord on each tassel. You will have these tassels to look at so you will remember all the commands of the Lord, that you may obey them.

PRAISE GOD

“Yours, O LORD, is the greatness and the power and the glory and the majesty and the splendor, for everything in heaven and earth is yours. Yours, O LORD, is the kingdom; you are exalted as head over all.”- 1 Chronicles 29:11

Sorry it's been so long. I've been extremely busy, but God has been amazing in helping me through it all. No matter what comes our way, He knows best. I pray God gives you what you need/want if it is his plan. This is my prayer for me as well! Life is amazing...I may not have kids, but I have so many other glorious things in my life.....PRAISE GOD! AMEN
