God’s Valentine Gift

God’s Valentine gift of love to us
Was not a bunch of flowers;
It wasn’t candy, or a book
To while away the hours.

His gift was to become a man,
So He could freely give
His sacrificial love for us,
So you and I could live.

He gave us sweet salvation, and
Instruction, good and true--
To love our friends and enemies
And love our Savior, too.

So as we give our Valentines,
Let’s thank our Lord and King;
The reason we have love to give
Is that He gave everything.

Plan B by Pete Wilson

My sister-in-law, Leslie, went through Plan B by Pete Wilson this past summer. I'm so glad she encouraged me to do this study. I just finished chapter 4 today and it is soooooooo what all of us needs to read. I'm fortunate enough to be doing the study with one of my "sisters" Amy Hartling. I can't wait till we go over the questions for Chapter 3 & 4.

If you feel like you are drowning and unhappy, read the book. If you feel like you need understanding, read the book. If you feel like you are out of control, read the book. Bottom line….READ THE BOOK! It will help you heal in ways you didn't even know you could be healed. Good luck and let me know how it goes.

Thanks Sheelah for this verse. It is perfect for Thanksgiving! I'm so thankful that God sent His son so that we could be saved. They both sacrificed so much so that we could live even when we depart this earth.

For Thanksgiving, I want to continue to remember just how blessed I am in all aspects of my life. He completely takes care of me and you every single day! May we remember to thank Him continuously and love Him for all eternity.

I'm Back

I can't believe April 30th was my last post on here. I've been posting on Caringbridge this whole time. You can go back and read from the beginning of my daughter's life till now as I go through the grieving process of her not being here.

Thanksgiving is approaching and I want to encourage everyone to recognize all their blessings.

• I have been blessed with family and friends even in the not so fun times.
• I became a mother even though my daughter is in heaven.
• I get to live out God's purpose for my life.
• I have a roof over my head.
• I started a new business, foundation and adventures this year.

These are just some of my blessings….the list goes on and on and on. I thank God for caring and loving me so much. He is incredible. PRAISE GOD for life!

Lily and Chrissy Devotional Time: Listen! and Constant Praise

Lily and I are doing devotions together out of her One Minute Daily Devotional for Girls Book. Here are the two verses from each. would put the whole devotional but its copy righted. You are welcome to buy the book and do a daily devotion with us. We will be doing it around 9:30 or 10:00 every night. There is a theme from the book for each month...April is OBEY, OBEY and OBEY! :)

Listen (April 25)- Deuteronomy 30:20
Constant Praise (April 30) - Deuteronomy 32:3-4

Listen covered the fact that we should slow down and listen to God. He is speaking to us throughout the day i helping guide us into the direction he has for us. Stop and listen...He wants to communicate! (PRAYER from the book: Dear God, please help me with this (listening). I want to learn to be still. I want to listen to You. Amen)

Constant Praise covered taking the focus off yourself and your problems and praise Him for even the little things. In our case, Squeaker is so tiny. There are two other babies smaller than her. I can't even imagine anything smaller. Remember that God takes care of us always! )PRAYER from the book: Dear God, thank You for my family, my friends, for horses and puppies. Thank You for mountains and oceans. Thank You for the sunrises and sunsets, for rainbows and thunderclouds. Just...thank You. Amen)
